Samson Family Resource Center
COA’s Samson FRC, located in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood, provides drop-in programming to parents and their children (ages 0-5) that includes free play, reading circles, art projects, snacks, and more. The Samson FRC also provides parents opportunities to socialize with and learn from one another, participate in parenting workshops, gain a deeper understanding of early child development, and connect with a myriad of local resources that will support them in their role as parents and nurturers.
By engaging with COA’s Family Resource Centers, youth and families are introduced to all COA has to offer. Families gain access to COA’s food pantry, family clinic, and other community resources to help them maintain stability and achieve lasting success. Families also have the opportunity to enroll their children in COA’s Early Education Centers and Youth Development Programs and participate in Family Camps hosted at COA’s Camp Helen Brachman in Central Wisconsin.
Through the use of holistic programs, services, and community collaborations, COA’s FRCs work diligently to empower the children, families, and communities we serve by providing the sustaining resources, services, and programming that build strong communities, support family resiliency, and nurture children to achieve their greatest potential.
