Project Description

Teens in COA’s Music and Video Production program lit up the town with amazing performances during the past few months. Since October, youth have performed original songs at five exciting venues: NO Studios, Company Brewing, Saint Kate Hotel, FreeSpace, and Milwaukee Art Museum! Performing gives these kids an opportunity to show the world the incredible music they create every week in COA’s recording studios.

In other exciting news, program participant Nebiyah “Shaddye” Jordan was nominated for an 88Nine Radio Milwaukee Award! Shaddye’s debut EP, “My Life in a Boombox,” was a top five finalist for the “Independent Release of the Year” award.

COA is grateful to the Milwaukee Public Schools Partnership for the Arts and Humanities. This grant generously funds COA’s Music and Video Production Program and makes all of these exciting musical experiences possible for youth at COA’s Riverwest Center and Goldin Center.
